Stupid, deficient, dull, foolish, idiotic, ludicurous, laughable, but
beautiful. That's how I would describe this recent RPG for the Saturn.
Nothing compared to other RPGs such as the Final Fantasy series or
Dragon Quest. (Let me remind you that I'm a Japanese that understands the
language, but born in Argentina and raised in Spain)
First, the good things. The graphics are simply excellent, filled with
unnecessary details. Beautifull. This is one of my reasons that I
continued playing the game. The bottom part of the graphics are the
slow downs produced while waliking in those complex cities.
Well, now the bad things. First, the plot. The game is about a dumb kid
that is desperate to discover this lost city, and faces many difficluties
during the stupid adventure. He falls in love, finds real friends... It is
okay for 10 year old kids, but for me, no way!! Secondly, the character
designs. Too fantasistic, and not even serious. Be more creative, my
freind!!!!!! Thirdly, those unnecesary, spoken dialogues. I completely
understand them, and believe me, worst than Biohazard (Resident Evil).
Fourth, those long loading times for the looooooooong useless spectacular
magics. Good for the first time, but annoying after the second try. Fifth,
those Special Stages, used for nuthin' but to waste time and memory. Why
didn't they make a more interesting storyline instead of wasting time
making those stages??? And last but not least, the easyness of this game.
Guess who was the most difficult boss in this game. That wizard in the
second special stage, which is a huge mansion. The only enemy that was
able to kill myself. Plus, that stage was the most entertaining, at least,
for me. I could finish the game without buying practically anyhting. I
just got the stuff from the long, dull, boring dungeons. The final boss
was extremely easy as well. Just a few combos and boom! he's dead!!!!
Also, the ending could have been a bit more intense than that one.
Well, in conclusion: Don't buy that game!! You will be wasting 50 hours
of your precious life, just like me!!!
