Enemy Zero

  Story:
    Theres really not much of a story, but what story there is pretty bland. The good thing is that there is not effect on the game beacuse of this, anyway......You {Larua - from "D"} wake up from hyper sleep and have no idea of whats going on. Well it just happens that invisible aliens have gotten on board your ship. You don't realize this until you get a call from Parker on the video phone, so basicly you see Parker get his head eaten off (cool, ehh?). The worst part is you have to track down the aliens by means of sound.                 {now on to the game}

 The game has four CD's and are labled 0-3. Disk 0 has the intro movie, and training mode on it. I highly suggest you complete the training mode before you stat the game. There are 3 difficulty settings Hard, Normal, and Beginer. You save your game by the means of a voice recorder, which is found in the first room. You don't start out with a gun you have to find one. A couple of things you should know - look around your to find useful stuff and check your video phone often.

Graphics:8/10
Moving around in rooms and some other places is all FMV, but when walkind in corridors its polys. The whole entire game is windowed, not that this is a bad thing i just don't see why it could be letterboxed. I've seen what TruMotion can do and it can do better than what it does in this game {the window is the same size as it was in "D"}. Yes, the game moves extremly smooth and there is no blockiness to the video, but i've seen GunGriffons video and its really good {and letterboxed), so I see no reason why EZ shouldn't be like that. The corridors move along at 60fps {this is expected because its in the windowed format too), but is low res. None the less, being windowed dosen't really bother me and dosen't hurt the game any i just wish i could have been better.

Control:9/10
    The reason control isn't getting a 10 is beacuse it takes awhile for the Saturn to realize you pressed a button, while this only happens in the FMV part it gets really annoying. As for the control in the corridors I have no complaints because its perfect. You can strafe, run, look up, look down, look right & left, some other things as well (now only if was this way in the FMV?!?). Also, you can use the 3dPAD which acts about the same as the digital.

Sound:10/10
    The sound in this game is awesome, i mean it has to be good beacuse if it wasn't you'd never be able to kill the monsters. I mean when you here the beeps of the alien getting closer you start to get nervous and your palms start to sweat (talk about tension). All the other sounds in the game are dead on and couldn't have been better.

Overall:8.5/10
    If you lived "D" or any other FMV game (like me!!!) do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of EZ.
