I Wish I Was A Little Bit Taller...
From MetalGear:

I've had the Godzilla VMS for a while now and I can't get my monster to grow.  I play the missile dodging game over and over but nothing happens.  How do I get my monster to grow.  Any help would be appreciated.  Oh yeah, I read the faq but it didn't help.  Thanks

Fernando Mosquera Replies:
There's no easy way about getting your monster to grow, you simply must play the tedious missile game over and over and over. My advice? Hand the VMS unit to a younger person and let them play the missile game for a few hours. If they manage to do halfway decent you might get a full-grown monster without having to play that mind-numbing game. Best of luck.

Mech Madness On Dreamcast?
From Brian:

I would like to thank you for the High-Res pictures of Sonic!!  Now that's what I call a phat looking game.  All my worries are now over with, thanks to your site!

I am a big fan of Armored Core on PS.  I am convinced that there is no better mech game on the planet ( although I have never played Virtual On 2).  Have your guys heard if From Software will be doing anything for the DC?  The thought of what Armored Core would look like on DC sends a jolt of joy to my cerebral cortex!!!! (however you spell it!)

Thanks for your time!

Fernando Mosquera Replies:
Those Sonic Adventure pictures were quite nice, so nice that Sega didn't want to release those to the general public just yet. Turns out Access PR (Sega's PR firm) uploaded the pictures to their corporate FTP so they could be viewed in-house. The thing is, the password protection on the images was put on twenty minutes too late. Woopsie.

As for "From Software" doing Dreamcast work, well, I wouldn't hold my breath for it. They're a Sony backed developer, Sony published their Armored Core title. And to answer your question directly: no, we haven't heard of them doing Dreamcast projects and we don't think we ever will hear that. You'll have to make do with the excellent Virtual On series for your mech fix, sorry.

An Ill Dreamcast?
From Ken:

Hi,
I was wondering if you could find out this Question for me.... Since the dreamcast can go on the net and is a windows based system couldent it get a virus?

Fernando Mosquera Replies:
The Dreamcast getting a virus? Not likely. With it running pretty much propriety everything and what with it having severely limited download capabilities the chances of the machine coming down with a cold are slim to none. I wouldn't even worry about it.

New Domestic Saturn Titles
From Ray:

Hello sir,

I was just wondering about the new Streat Fighter games that will be released for the Saturn. Are they going to be released in Japan only, or in the USA too? Also, I heard rumors that VF3 will be released for the Japanese Saturn too. Can you confirm this or not, and if it is a fact, when will it be out, and will it be a 4 meg cart game?

I thank you so much for your help, and I've gotta say that this is one of my favorite sites for Sega info. I stop in every day. Keep up the great work. Thanks again.

Fernando Mosquera Replies:
All third parties (including Capcom) have ceased domestic Saturn support. As for Virtua Fighter 3 Saturn, no way. It's not going to happen, ever.

On the same note, I'd like to follow-up a bit on the rumored new domestic titles I reported on a few months ago. Seems like it was a false alarm. No further developments have surfaced on the matter and it's safe to say that Sega will hold off on new domestic Saturn releases.

Shining Force III
From Thomas Storma:

I found this in the game at Flagard castle 2nd floor in the bookcases.

"The attitude to surpass your parents!  The 2nd generation complains of being labeled lazy. To avoid being accused of laziness the 2nd generation must work as hard if not harder then the 1st generation."

Now I'm trying a SFIII part 2 & 3 petition at www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Lair/3375/ and I'm going to use this as the saying for it. But I don't know if you can get Sega to talk to you but I was wondering why they would put this in the game because they are accusing themself of being lazy. I know you might think this is funny but hay this is my way of seeing it. The parent is SoJ and the 2nd generation is SoA, and by not even trying to bring over SF part 2 & 3 plus many other great games they are being lazy and we should label SoA as lazy. I know almost all of you at SegaNet would love to see the rest of SFIII come over with tons of other people and I wish Sega would start listen to it fans and itself.  BTW I love your pics for the SFIII part 2 & 3, they look so awesome!! Now if SoA would just bring them over.

Fernando Mosquera Replies:
Interesting observation, probably the work of a bored scriptwriter. As for parts 2 and 3 of Shining Force III making their way to the US, I wouldn't hold my breath for it but I wish you the best of luck in your efforts.
