What is Virtua Athlete 2K?

Sega taking a stab at the Olympics in its latest title?

Early
today, we managed to stumble upon a curious tidbit over at our
favorite Japanese source for Dreamcast news and info. A game called
Virtua Athlete 2K is listed as being set for Japanese release
on the Dreamcast on July 13, for 5800 YEN.
So what is this game? Well, the editors of the Japanese site are
speculating that it may be an Olympics game being developed by Sega.
Too hard to believe? Then believe this - some very reliable
sources indicate that the speculation is 100% correct and that Sega
is indeed taking a stab at digital Olympics through the title.
That's all we know at the moment, unfortunately.
July isn't too far away, and we expect to learn more shortly.
