| Robotnik is back, and he's up to no good! This time, he's found a
creature in South America, simply called Chaos. This force, Chaos, is so
powerful, he's already destroyed a whole city. Robotnik is feeding him
crystals to make him grow stronger, and eventually control the whole
universe.
That's where you come in! Sonic and his gang of friends are back and have to stop Robotnik, on earth. You can play as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Big The Cat, and E-102! Each Character has their own story line, but common levels. Sonic Adventure is like six games in one! Sonic Adventure features a lot of things. It's like the king of all Sonic Games. It has some RPG elements in it, for example, you talk to people on Earth! One of the most noticeable thing in this game, is that almost every character talks! They all have their own voices and personalities. Each character has their own levels. Some characters meet other characters in their game play. For example, when you play as Tails, you race down the hill against Sonic on a snowboard. It's a really great level, because you have to dodge rocks and trees, but at the same time keep your eyes open for jump platforms. I think the coolest effect in the game is here! The snow flakes that hit the camera as you come down the hill. Unlike other games, these snow flakes are not just round blocks. They are actual snow shape flakes. Playing as Knuckles, is very different than the other characters. Knuckles terrain is set on rocky places, and he has an amazing view! If you can ignore the pop-up every once and a while, it's great. As Knuckles, you use your gliding ability to float between islands while battling badnicks and trying not to fall off the sides. How good of a game is Sonic Adventure? To quote JavaFox "Sonic Adventure is a great game. But it's not perfect" The highly respected magazine Weekly Famitsu in Japan gave Sonic Adventure 9,10,9,10. How good of a rating is that? Let's compare it to Zelda. Zelda got 10,10,10,10. Dreamcast Magazine in Japan gave it 9,9,10. So, as you can see, Sonic Adventure easily averages a 9.5! That is what I know of Sonic Adventure.
