NEC-HE has announced the ongoing development of Seventh Cross -
Fighting Integration Disc (FID for short). The main purpose of FID is as
a sort of add-on disk for owners of the original Seventh Cross Dreamcast
title (an interesting creature growing simulation) that allows current
users to take the creatures they grew in the main game and pit them
against creatures of other users over the Internet.
The so-called "Seventh Cross Fighting Network" is the place where
gamers battle it out creature to creature in a quest to create the
strongest being ever. Just like in the original release, defeating your
opponent in battle alters your creature's DNA (while the loser has to
start from scratch). NEC-HE is confident this idea will prove popular
with current Seventh Cross owners (and perhaps attract new players to
the series) and has already setup plans for organized tournaments (with
real prices for the winners).
Unfortunately NEC-HE is still keeping the majority of FID's details
secrets, leaving such questions as how will the network work, how much
will it cost, and when will it come out unanswered. Guess we'll have to
wait until NEC-HE is ready to feed us the rest of the information and
get back to you.
