Hey guys! I e-mailed Ken Penders with a bunch of Sonic questions and when he replied to them, I asked if I could post it here. He said I could, so here's some information on some stuff a lot of you might know already, but maybe there's something here you didn't.

1) The Sonic community is buzzing with talk about a sort of "Third SatAM" that will be sort of Archie-ish. Is this true?

It's in the discussion stages with the Powers That Be at Sega. Hopefully, it will become a reality, but that depends on several factors.

2) Also, I heard that Spaz is thinking about leaving. NOOO!! He can't do that! He's the best Sonic artist in the world! Tie him down if you have to!

We hope to keep him as long as possible, but it all depends on his schedule with other work.

3) Are you guys all still bothering Archie about bringing the Knuckles series back? If so, keep it up! We miss that series!

There is no one, literally no one, who wants to see Knuckles come back more than me.

4) Pleeeease do something about Tails' character design. Knuckles will always be my favorite, but Tails has been looking pretty pathetic for the last few issues. I mean, he looks like a blob with eyes!

5) What the heck is Sonic's REAL name? I know his middle name is Maurice, but Sonic cut his dad off before he could blurt out Sonic's first name to Knuckles and Antoine. I'm guessing that Knuckles' real name isn't Knuckles in the Archie comic either, right?

Actually, as you'll find out in SONIC #84, Knuckles real name is Knuckles, and you'll find out why. As for Sonic, while Sega maintains Sonic is a nickname, they refuse to let us say what his real name is.

6) Is there any chance that issue 25 (Note from Elina-Su: I meant Knuckles but I forgot to say that) will be able to be bought anytime soon?

You mean through Archie? I have it available for $3 plus postage through my website. KNUCKLES #25, that is, not SONIC.

7) Mina was in an earlier comic I saw...that WAS her, right?

Yep.

8) Have you seen the Sonic Anime?

I didn't see the ENGLISH version, but I liked the animation I saw in the Japanese version, even if I didn't have a clue what really was going on.

9) Is there any possible chance you can give me a hint about what the issue you and Spaz are working on is about?

It's a 40-page Sonic story for SONIC SUPER SPECIAL [16].

10) Where's Rotor? You guys keep bringing in new characters....but Rotor has been gone for such a long time. Please don't say that the rumor about Rotor being robotisized is true. Personally, I'd rather have a nice, purple walrus over a Mina or Nate any day. Although Knuckles will probably always be my favorite character, Rotor is part of "the gang" and a lot of us really want to see him come back. Any plan of that happening in the future?

It was Karl's decision to take out Rotor and it'll probably be his decision to bring him back, unless I get the chance to in the Knuckles back-up stories I'm currently working on. The problem isn't that he's been forgotten, but rather a lack of pages to tell all the stories waiting to be told.
