New Details On Zombie Revenge Exclusive Dreamcast Modes

What additions can we expect in the home version of Sega's zombie masher? Find out inside.

October 21, 1999

Originally scheduled to hit shops in Japan on the 28th of this month, Dreamcast owners were dealt the unfortunate news a few weeks back that Zombie Revenge would be seeing a delay until November 25th. Thankfully, Sega's excuse is a reasonable one, as they're working hard on ensuring that the game will be a quality release when it arrives next month.

During this past week, final confirmation was given as to what we can expect from the upcoming horror fest. Along with the expected Arcade Mode, owners will also be able to try their luck at a number of extra modes. First up is Gun Mode, which allows you to play through the game using nothing but weapons; players will not able to use their fists. Next up is Bare-Knuckle Mode, the complete opposite of Gun Mode, as you're only allowed to fight with your hands, legs and knives, making for quite a difficult challenge to say the least. Finally, there'll be a Versus and Boss Mode in the game, although we assume these need no explanation!

The game will be released on the 25th of November, and you can expect detailed impressions and media fixes to hold you over until the American release, currently set for early 2000.
