Next GameSpot News Let's Make A Professional Baseball Team!
Everything moves at a rock-steady 60fps, and the game features every possible option to hand tailor your players attributes, the team's management, free-agent hiring, training regimens, home-stadium locations, uniform details, wagering on games, and much much more. There is no way a first glance at this game can clue you into how much is possible, but despite the heavy Japanese in the menus, this game is easy to learn and fun to "play." While you don't actually play the game (rather you manage and observe), you call all the shots (walk the batter, hold runners on base, bunt, steal, etc.) and run your own big league club. While I wouldn't expect this game to come to the States in MLB form, if it did, this would be an enormous hit. Imagine taking your favorite team (the Yankees, baby!) and basically telling every player what to do, how to do it, and don't ask no stinkin' questions or you're traded to Tampa Bay, fella! All the players look like the baseball equivalents of Rayman, so it's definitely unique. While the US will probably receive the Naomi-arcade game, World Series, which also looks incredible, Let's Make is still one of the most addicting games released for the Dreamcast to date.
