Jet Set Radio and Space Channel 5 in Quarter One?

In a recent interview, Peter Moore let slip a delicious bit of info. But is it true?

January 5, 2000

In the February 2000 issue of Next Generation magazine, Sega of America Executive Vice President of Marketing, Peter Moore, states the following: ". . . And the content we'll provide over the next 60 days, both Space Channel 5 and Jet Set Radio, is just amazing."

The quote, pulled from a section in which Moore speaks about Dreamcast software in the coming year, seems to imply that we'll be getting the two games sooner than previously thought. We got into contact with our favorite PR Rep over at Sega of America to get the facts on the matter, though.

Apparently, regardless of what was said in the interview, Jet Seta Radio and Space Channel 5 won't be hitting American shores until Q3 or Q4. In fact, our rep went on to suggest that Sega of Japan is being very secretive with Jet Set Radio, and it seems that only the elite at Sega of America knows what the game is.

Hopefully, the bubble on Jet Set Radio will burst soon. Because the folks here at IGN are anxiously waiting to see what Sega has cooking.
