News Release
LOS ANGELES -- Konami of America, Inc., leading developer of
electronic entertainment for the home video game and coin-op markets,
will showcase two new titles for Sega(R) Dreamcast(TM) at E3. Both Air
Force Delta(TM) and Castlevania(R) Resurrection are designed to take
advantage of the super console's 128-bit performance and advanced
graphics features, and to deliver leading-edge game play, complete with
extremely detailed environments and fast action-packed adventures.
"We've totally re-engineered our most popular games to take advantage
of Sega Dreamcast," said Tim Dunley, Konami's vice president of
marketing. "The new characters and gaming environments are more detailed
than ever before and the action moves seamlessly, making an entirely new
gameplay experience."
Airforce Delta
As a pilot of a mercenary organization, gamers are contracted with a
number of strategic objectives. After missions are completed, players
advance to more challenging assignments and aircrafts.
Airforce Delta features more than 30 different international aircraft
ranging from the classic F-4 Phantom to the sleek, state-of-the-art F-22
Raptor to the formidable MiG 29. Throughout the game, players must make
a number of strategic decisions to carry out each mission successfully
and must strike each key target before moving on to the next level.
Users are provided with complete mission briefings and de-briefings,
along with tactical evaluations. In replay mode, the game will record
the entire mission and play back the action from various camera angles
and run fast-cut scenes similar to a movie. Players can also edit the
replay and save the information for later viewing.
Airforce Delta for Sega Dreamcast is scheduled for release in Q4 '99.
Castlevania Resurrection
In the continuing saga of Castlevania, Dracula has again returned to
threaten the mortal world. Joining evil forces with Dracula is the dark
Countess of Castlevania, along with a number of foul creatures of the
dead, to gain absolute domination of the world. But before total doom
and gloom overcomes humanity, ancestors from the Belmont ancestral tomb
are resurrected to battle Dracula's horrifying curse.
Set in a magnificent gothic environment, players are transported deep
into the dark world of Castlevania. The heavy, fast-paced combat action
keeps gamers alert for the hoards of Skeletons, Werewolves and Mummies
that lurk within the walls of Dracula's castle and unexpectedly strike
to kill without a moment's notice. Also, intuitive controls keep
players' adrenaline pumping as they whip and slash their enemies back to
Hell.
Castlevania Resurrection for Sega Dreamcast is scheduled for release
in Q4 '99.
