 D2's Laura Set To Retire?

Is Warp's digital actress finished for good? We've got the details...

November 1, 1999

Kenji Eno, the wacky game mind behind such titles as Real Sound, and the D series of games, apparently has plans to leave Laura, the famous digital actress created by the company, at home for good just as soon her exploits in the upcoming D2 come to an end.

Although not as huge as the likes of Mario, Sonic or Lara Croft, Laura has seen her fair share of outings as the digital actress portraying the main characters of such games as D and Enemy Zero. Unfortunately, since Warp would rather create an entirely new persona, she's going to be left aside for good. Are we all upset? Not really, but it is a shame, considering that if D2 is a big success (and it could well be), Laura could go on to bigger and better things.

-- Matthew Langan, IGNDC
