When
Gaming Age interviewed Kenji Eno at E3, we asked him if there
would be any modem-related sections. All he could reply is "We
are looking into all options at this time."
Evidence has surfaced, due to exploring, that it looks like
a D2 Internet mode was at least in the planning stages, but
never got off the ground.
By going to http://d2.dricas.ne.jp/, which is the format
for a Dreamcast game's internet page, you notice that a page
does come up, although it is just a welcome message. Could it
be like this forever, or will Warp eventually build a web page
you can access via Dream Passport 2 with add-ons to download?
Right now it's all speculation, so who knows.
Another game with the initials D2 is not coming out in the
near future for Dreamcast, so it looks like Warp did have Sega
hold the D2 website for them.
