Thumbs up

Hey, man, if someone charges you, side step and pivot. Double block. One low, one medium to high. Throw an arm under his arm across his chest and neck. Do that while pushing your hips into position behind his back and place your foot well past his leg that's farthest from your position. Twist firmly into position where your feet are firmly planted at least double shoulder length apart and pointing straight forward with the lower legs pointing straight up, hips thrust low and straight setting solid to flare the knees wide, outwards and firm, with the back, neck and head in a straight line, eyes and body pointed straigt forward with the shoulders back and level. This will slam the punk over your hip right into the ground where you direct. The position described is called horse stance. The maneuver is called a hip throw. If there is any possibility that you are in a death struggle, you can land the punk in a position and with enough force to break his neck. With the arm and hand that you put across his body, practice placing and grasping in different positions. Try across the belly, under the far armpit, grab the throat, chin, face, eye sockets or other.

The Horse Stance is a good one when you know how to use it.

If the horse stance sounds complicated, it's really not once you get all the points down. Regularly practice getting into horse stance instantly. Stretching out daily will also help. It also helps to develop good senses of balance, body awareness and movement in relation to the other two senses.

Oh, damn, I forgot to tell you that you can also grab the wrist or arm of his near shoulder as he goes down. Then, while essentially maintaining position, you can kick/stomp his ribs or whatever and restrain him with your foot on his throat in a position where his far arm cannot reach any weak spots.

If you wish, you can also pull the arm over a leg, knee, or hip and thrust the arm backwards to the natural bend so that it breaks at the elbow.
