Nights
Can this be a prediction of a future Nights game on the
Dreamcast? I think so...

Would anybody want another installment of this game?
I never played the Saturn version, but I heard it was pretty
interesting.
Also remember that Nights was featured in some teaser levels in
Sonic Adventure...kinda makes it look like they are making another
version.

NiGHTS is coming, I know that for a fact. You have the teaser levels
in SA(a sonic team game), the NiGHTopian mice replacements in Chu
Chu Rocket(a sonic team game), and to top it off one of the
characters in PSO looks like NiGHTmaren, the main nights Characters.
It's safe to say that they are hinting strongly that it's coming.

NiGHTS isn't coming. If you follow the Sonic Team news, you'll know
that Yuji Naka keeps on stating that they're not working on NiGHTS
2, and that they don't think that they could make a sequel now that
would make everyone happy.
For hundreds of reasons, we won't see a NiGHTS 2 any time soon,
if ever. Sad, but true, live with it.

Well, they keep hyping up a game that we'll supposedly will never
see again. I don't see adverts of Chu2 or Burning Rangers or Samba
everywhere in Sonic Team games, but they made an entire
NiGHTS-themed level in SA1. There will be a sequel very soon, and
they're probably working on it as we speak (post?).

Sonic Team are proud of NiGHTS, and just because "stupid
Americans"TM read too much into everything, doesn't mean they should
stop putting cameos in their games.
I want to see NiGHTS 2 as much as anyone, but these 'rumours'
have been around for 5 years now, and Sonic Team keep on
systematically saying that they don't want to work on NiGHTS 2. This
is a case where I WANT to be wrong, but I know I'm not.

Actually in an interview with MSNBC he said he'd consider making a
new NiGHTS, but he won't be making a new Burning Rangers this
generation. So here is hope. I think after PSO and Sonic 2 are
launched, then ST will unveil NiGHTS 2 (possibly at E3, since Moore
said they're gonna be focusing on the US market).

Sega needs some huge ammunition to go up against the Xbox/Gamecube
launches next year. Are they gonna be stupid enough to try NiGHTS
again? I hope so, cause now they have Sonic Adventure 2, Floigan
Bros., Toejam & Earl 3, Shenmue 2, and many other surprises to
come that can back up NiGHTS. This ain't no Saturn baby. Bring on
the next Mario, next fall SEGA's gonna be ready.

Naka is currently only working on phantasy star online but after the
alpha stages of that his next project is tipped to be either a
nights or burning rangers sequel. Woo-hoo! ------------------ http://www.projectmonoshadow.co.uk/ - the

It won't be a BR sequel. Naka has already said he won't be making a
sequel on the DC because it can't handle the type of fire effects
that he wants.

I think you'll find that it is Burning Rangers that needs the fire
effects.
I have been following Sonic Team closely (they are my favourite
developers) and Yuji Naka has flat out said that there won't be a BR
sequel because of the aforementioned fire effects, but he has said
many times that ST are considering ideas for a Nights sequel. Add to
that, N2 is supposed to be Sega's most requested game ever and I
don't think Naka-san's going to disappoint.
At one point Sonic Team Japan were working on PSO, Chu2, Samba
and SA International, now they are working on PSO and Samba
ver.2000, while SA2 is being done by Sonic Team USA. Now you have to
wonder what the other 2 teams (Chu2 and SA:I) are up to at the
moment.
