Deka posted in the 'Leaked' thread about this game that the co op character is Cambell. It only makes sense for it to be the younger version of Cambell, which would mean this Snake look a like isn't actually Snake, he's Big Boss.

So looks like we'll really get to see what this guys all about.

I'm sure they'll find some way - there was all sorts of crazy stuff developed during WW2, maybe the forerunner of the MG project.

Well they could either have you go co op with Snake and Meryl, or have you fight an early prototype of a Metal Gear. I'm sure there will be a MG in there somewhere.

Still if its true it'll be very cool. Seeing how Big Boss changed so much is what this likely is gonna be about. I knew I couldn't imagine Snake snacking on a snake, so it being Big Boss makes alot more sense. :p

It was a passive aggresive way of telling Deka to put up, or shut up.

To be fair, Deka does have some kind of inside info. He's been posting screencaps of early beta and stuff he's got (SH3, Jak and Daxter 2, Starcraft Ghost, Ghost Hunter ect). So he definetly has some kind of insider info. Once again i'm not saying its true, be he could definetly be telling the truth.

- No stupid "you are really in a VR simulation and what is real what is not" BS that imo, was not only dumb and took the fun out of MGS, but also flagged a sign that read "MGS2 is a Matrix rip-off".

- More about The Patriots. That part of the story I liked. Creepy.

- Jungle environment and underground environment. A little less of the industrial stuff, perhaps.

I think the real sign of there being Big Boss playable, or Solidus/Liquid, is that there's clearly 2 different models for Snake in this trailer. The one at the beginning is very similar to Snakes MGS2 model, facial hair and all, but the one at the end kind of looks young and doesn't have any facial hair.

Maybe a new female love interest shaves Snake with a combat knife during the game. A moment which requires Snake to trust someone. :eek

Maybe the SK/MGS connection goes further and they've taken a little inspiration from ED, with you visiting the same location with Solid Snake and Big Boss at different points in time.

Jesus -- I am hoping that the game comes out in November 2003, just so I don't have to listen to another 1 1/2 years of this lame-brained speculation. Just STFU and we'll find out all this stuff when the game is released...

OMG maybe the Snake model is really the DARPA chief who is resurrected by the Patriots and he travelled back in time to World War 2.....but he travelled back to an alternate world WW2 where they had infarred vision and assault rifes already!!!! :eek :eek :eek :eek

Maybe border will leave a thread which has largely been about speculation since its creation.

That’s definitely Big Boss. At the end of the trailer when they do a close up of the guys face, you can see he's missing an eye.

The main purpose of this buletin boards, when information about a game isn't divulged, is to allow people to speculate about it. If you don't want to read it, then there are many other threads out there that contains true information. Have a ball! ^_^

looks like a younger snake at the end. Either that or they couldnt make him look old without the facial hair?

I cant tell if he has a 2nd eye or not.

He lost his right eye, print screen the frame during the trailer, put it in photoshop, turn on the brightness and you'll see its not just his bandana casting a shadow, his eye lobe is red, bloody red.

Buggy, you just confirmed it then. This guy is missing his right eye, Big Boss is also missing his right eye. It could be Solidus, but the problem with that is he's missing his left eye. So thats definetly Big Boss.

It surely looks like his right eye is missing... actually, at first I couldn't see his eyes at all (especially when he is eating the snake at the beginning), and I thought his face looked a lot like his eyes-less MGS1 model, I thought it was an "artistic change", but in the end of the trailer, in that particular shot you can clearly see his left eye, but not his right one... I wouldn't say it looks "bloody red" as Buggy Loop said, it just looks shaded/missing, I'm not sure if it's the bandana casting a shadow or not.

Solid Snake should stop using Big Boss's barber.

You can make Snake shave at the end of MGS2, if I could be bothered I would load the game and take some captures of his shaven face... but I'm too lazy.
