I seriously don't see how they're helping Konami. I mean Kojimas team is the last team that needs help programming for a system. I don't see what Nintendo could help them do.

Hrmm....make the game fun?

Find stupid you bring stories nobody it´s interested here. This is a thread to speak for MGS on GC, not for your lame theories about that magazine.

Meristation sucks. The same about Vandal and other "reliable" spanish sites.

Sorry, but Meristation is not a reliable site. Is that simple. If true, Matt will put something @ IGN.

And what about if say I´m the editor who wrote that new, and say that this confirmation came from Nintendo Spain itself this morning? Maybe Nintendo is not reliable in Europe? neither for an info that produced in Europe?

Take it as you want, respect too much GA Forum to wirte here a defense for my work. The info it´s true and Miyamoto San said it as you have read.

P.D Matt will come with this tomorrow, since it was too late in USA to get an answer from Nintendo or Konami, you will see.

I´m spanish and I think I can talk about it

Meristation is the same that 95% web on inet ...They see a thing and copy and paste , isn´t a source itself ...But except IGN , gamespot and maybe one or two more all webs copy news from other webs ...Magicbox from dengeki , gamefront from Famitsu ...Isn´t a bad web at all , just they don´t have own sources , just like most of webs about videogames .

Vandal is more of the same , better web imo .

But I don´t think they copy a new and modify it ...Yoy can´t judge a web by their forum behavoiur ...Forums just are differents that everything else , all rumors and speculations ...

Gaijin , sorry if this time you have a real source yourself ,I admit that you all make really and exclusive good interviews , but in the new you don´t name anything about Nintendo Spain ....

Anyway , I still got to see a link about de fuckin´ interview ...

I think that MGS should be confirmed from Konami or NoA , not Nintendo France or Nintendo Spain ...Few days ago they still don´t now when broadband adapter was going to be on stores .

Sorry for posting in spanish, but I did't found a better way to reply this message.

That is what I don´t wanted... just listen. Normally, a new is produced in USA or in Japan, few times in Europe. We don´t make "Copy & Paste" (neither Vandal I suppose) but news are produced outside Europe, so we write them after USA sites do it.

For once a new is produced in Europe, and Nintendo was kind enough to share their info (hey, we have our own souces, shame Nintendo Spain is not the same than Nintendo Japan or Nintendo America, it´s quite logical), found quite interesting to share that info with this forum.

If I would have known neither in GA can´t speak of my work without being criticised, I would have said nothing, suppose will do that way the next time.

My apologies .

I don´t know Meristation , I know vandal use to work with oficial press releases , but is sad and true that most of news use to happen outside Europe .

Is not my way to do things, I always try to mainatin contact with PRs around Europe, or at least from Spain, to be informed. Where they got the info is not my business, just publish it, they are PRs for something and get paid for it. However, is not the place or the moment to discuss this. Just take my humble word that this in particular is true (as always try), and it is a reliable info since comes from the own source.

If you want, open a thread to speak for spanish magazines, and I will do my best to defend my point.

No problem at all. I believe you. It is just like a CVG member saying "I know teh megacrap!1!", it can be true, sure of it, but everybody will take it with a grain of salt because, you know, CVG tends to making up news from almost nothing and that was what happened here.

BTW, I am pretty much in your same situation I also work for several magazines, and almost all of them are not "reliable", so many people don't believe me (I am not talking about GA or Meristation, but ahother forums)

My excuses.

Regards.

you people don't use the neck break? what's wrong with you? the neck break is GREAT. mgs is TACTICAL NECK BREAKING ACTION. i broke EVERYONE'S neck in mgs 1. yeah, the tranquilizer gun kind of moots it in mgs2, but what's way cooler is holding someone up, grabbing their dogtag, and then breaking their neck. or if you don't wanna kill them you can just sort of choke them out. tranq darts are for pussies.

or maybe i'm just a pathological ammo hoarder. yeah, probably so. i also insist on trying to kill things with the knife in re games.

Just saw this at the cube-europe.com site:

"Metal Gear Solid GC
News: Metal Gear Solid 4 Confirmed!!
Feb 27th 2003 12:29 by Tim

We just got off the phone with Nintendo of Europe!

We just got off the phone with Nintendo of Europe and we are pleased to be able to report that they have confirmed there is indeed a Metal Gear Solid in development for the Nintendo GameCube.

The Nintendo spokesperson we talked to said: "I can confirm that Nintendo is working with Konami on Metal Gear Solid 4 for the GameCube."

The fact that Nintendo is working together with Konami on this new Metal Gear Solid game could mean that the game is exclusive for the Nitendo GameCube. It could also confirm that yesterday's rumours are true - that there will be a GC-GBA connectivity feature.

Unfortunately our contact could not tell us any specific details on the title. We will keep you updated!"

Speaking of Meristation I've always thought that it IS a reliable site for game reviews, at least Juantxi's reviews are very fair and he always manages to stay away from his personal preferences, I really appreciate the fact that they usually talk about the PAL conversions issue and stuff like that. (Por cierto que yo soy SYD en Meristation, saludos y 60 hz).

He more than likely was reffering to a remake. Hideo already said mgs3 was being developed on ps2. Think about it if Miyamoto knows that mgs3 is going to be on GC he would make sure no mistake was made about it and clearly state it especially with all the gloom stuff with Nintendo lately.

Another guess is besides the remake konami is gonna use nintendo and microsoft as pawns to get the best deal from sony for mgs3 exclusive deal for however long it will be.
