If only one, then Playstation 2, but that's because of Square.

Playstation 2.
It has redefined the way we play games. It doesn't just rely on
easy sequels, it pushes the envelop with innovative games the
industry has rarely seen. Moreover, I could never say no to rich,
colorful and detailed 128-bit graphics. The sound capabilities, an
area often ignored, shines on this platform like you wouldn't
believe. Best of all, you're not stuck with CD's anymore, it uses
high-density storage disks, allowing developers to cram even more
fun in each game.
Actually, I meant Dreamcast, but that typical list of praises is
so vague that it can be applied to both platforms, regardless of
brand loyalty.

Actually the NUON will kickass, definately will be the best DVD
player on the market when its released. Laugh now, but you'll be
crying like a 7 yr old sissy who fell off her bike when movie
studios like FOX and MGM release NUON enhanced DVDs.

But don't worry, Driver 3 will be ported to the almighty
PortBox..So you don't need a PS2!

photorealistic graphics, and that won't come until XBox 2 PS3. And

Well, I say PS2.
Of course, if you can't shag one this X-mas, by all means, get a
DC.
Its got some good games. I just feel PS2 will be there at the end
though.

"I just feel PS2 will be there at the end though."
I don't get that feeling at all. I get the feeling that the
PS2 is going to come out of the gates really strong and hyped up and
then taper off to be just one of the systems or in a worst case
scenario go bye bye. I really don't see what the PS2 can offer over
Xbox in the long term other than Sony 1st party titles. The
developers seem to be migrating towards Xbox favoritism at this
point. And even Nintendo seems to be a little more popular with 3rd
parties than last generation. It's too hard to say this early on
who's secure and who's not.
There really is no security in the videogame industry at
all.

developers are not "migrating" to X-box. If X-box cannot build up a
userbase fast enough, developers will jump ship in a hurry and it
will be the one that goes by bye.

I'll stick with my DC. I just hope Capcom vs. SNK 2 comes out on the
DC and turns out better than the first one. I also want Planet
Harrier and Cannon Spike (plus numerous other DC games.)
Despite my previous comments, in reality I'd take a Gamecube over
PS2. Nintendo is still my favorite software company.

If you noticed, I carefully inserted the words, best games
"imo", which means what I think are some of the best games
for each system.
There are also many games I missed on my Dreamcast list. I
just realized after seeing an above post that I forgot to include
Capcom vs. SNK. No biggie, the lists are by no means absoulutely
complete and some games from each list will be multi
platform.
